E-Ching Ong
Associate Director, Process Development Lyell Immunopharma
E-Ching Ong, PhD, is Associate Director, Process Development at Lyell Immunopharma, where she focuses on advancing manufacturing processes for next-generation cell therapies. She is a highly qualified scientist with experience in process development in the biologics and cell therapy fields, passionate about understanding and optimizing processes to increase efficiency and robustness. Prior to Lyell, she worked at Universal Cells and Just Biotherapeutics, contributing to optimization of clinical-grade iPSC culture, scale-out, and gene editing to generate off-the-shelf cell therapies. E-Ching earned her PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Oklahoma and holds a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Michigan State University.
