Ilya Yasny is Partner and Head of Scientific Research at LanceBio Ventures, where he leads scientific due diligence and decision making across investments in advanced therapies. He has built screening and evaluation systems assessing thousands of biopharma opportunities, supporting multiple investments and successful IPO outcomes. Previously, he served as Head of Scientific Due Diligence at a biopharma venture capital fund and worked as a senior scientist in biopharma R&D. Ilya holds a PhD in enzymology and protein engineering, with research expertise spanning biotechnology, drug development, and scientific evaluation of therapeutic innovations.
