The Carl June CAR-TCR Travel Fund Award
This year, we are making efforts to give back to the community. We appreciate the field has faced funding constraints, and this can create challenges in attending the 9th CAR-TCR Summit, especially for academics.
That’s why we have worked with Dr. Carl June, to create the Carl June CAR-TCR Travel Fund Award.
By supporting the attendance and access to the forum for those who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend, we hope to spark academic and industry collaboration, and promote engagement among the wider field, to advance leading research.
What is it?
This is a new initiative open to academic labs, which will provide the financial support for travel, accommodation and registration, to enable selected academics to attend for free, to engage with the field and further advance their innovative research.
Furthermore, the award will be presented live at the meeting by the father of CAR-T, Dr. Carl June, himself!
How Can I be in with the Chance of Receiving this Award?
Please submit an abstract here. The deadline for abstract submission is 12th July. Please note abstracts should be max. 250 words.
Following this, our Scientific Advisory Board will choose a deserved winner, who will be announced on Friday, July 19.
There are only a handful of places to win so for those that have set aside budget for this meeting, we still encourage booking early to secure your place at the best rate, so that you don't miss out on attending if you are unsuccessful.
For those that would like to secure their place but also be in the chance of winning, you are more than welcome! If you succeed, we can carry out a simple name change on your paid pass so an additional colleague can benefit from this opportunity, or alternatively provide a refund if you wish.
